We are a General Practice training Practice. Each year a fully qualified Doctor with experience in hospital medicine who is preparing to become a GP joins the Practice and shares all aspects of medical care with the partners. We welcome the fresh ideas and enthusiasm they bring.

Our Practice nurse is available for consultation directly by appointment without referral from the doctor.

Healthcare Worker

Appointments are available with Dawn for routine health checks, blood pressure and taking blood. She is able to give advice on Life Styles and has leaflets and handouts on Health Promotion Issues.

Practice Manager

The Practice Manager is responsible for the organisation and administration of the practice. They will be pleased to discuss any suggestions you may have for improving the services offered.

 

Reception Staff/ Administration

The receptionists are here to help you, but as you will see their jobs are very demanding. They answer the telephones and deal with enquiries from all directions often at the same time. Please show them some consideration.

General Medical Services (GMS) contract

  • Contraceptive Services
  • Cervical Cytology
  • Maternity Services
  • Child health surveillance and immunisations and vaccinations
  • Well Baby Clinic Thurs: 9.30am – 11.30am with health visitor.
  • Antenatal Care – every two weeks on a Monday 2.00pm – 3.00pm run by community midwives.
  • Postnatal Care:
  • Chronic disease management clinics (diabetic/CVD/COPD/asthma)
  • Phlebotomy (drug monitoring)
  • Travel Advice and holiday vaccinations
  • Smoking Cessation Advice (FAGENDS) – drop in clinic Wednesday 10.30am – 11.30am.
  • Spirometry

  • Inclusion Matters
  • Addaction (substance misuse)

The practice team deliver a full range of clinical services under our General Medical Services (GMS) contract with NHS England.
