GP Net Earnings

Average earnings calculation for the year ended 31st March 2025

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS
services to patients at each practice.

The mean earnings for GPs working in The Margaret Thompson Medical Centre in the
financial year ended 31st March 2025 was £112,566 before deduction of employee's
superannuation contributions, tax and National Insurance.

This is the average pay for the 2
full-time GPs and 3 part-time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months
during that year.

All GP surgeries are regulated by the Care Quality Commission

The most recent report on our surgery was completed in 2022 .

This surgery is owned and run as a general partnership.

Commissioning Body (ICB)

GP Services are commissioned by integrated care boards (ICBs) overseen by NHS England on a regional and national basis.
